Community Impact Update

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the WhidbeyHealth Foundation is proud to announce several recent internal grant awards that are already strengthening patient care across our organization. These investments ensure that our clinical teams have the tools they need to provide safe, accurate, and compassionate care for every patient who walks through our doors.

Emergency Department:

New Overhead Treatment Lights

We are thrilled to support the Emergency Department with the replacement of three end-of-life treatment lights. The newly installed Steris Overhead Treatment Lights are essential for providing high-quality, invasive emergency care.

These advanced lights offer superior visibility, helping clinicians ensure accuracy during procedures and improve patient outcomes when every second counts.

Emergency Medical Services:

AED for Spin Café

Emergency Medical Services submitted a grant request for an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to be placed at Spin Café, a local organization that serves a population at heightened risk for sudden cardiac arrest.

Our Board was delighted to approve this important project. This AED has the potential to save lives and demonstrates our commitment to supporting health and safety throughout the wider Whidbey community.

Respiratory Therapy:

Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) Machine

Thanks to donor support, we were also able to purchase a new Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) machine for our Respiratory Therapy team.

PFTs are considered the gold standard in diagnosing and monitoring lung conditions. This state-of-the-art equipment will help providers more effectively evaluate lung function, develop accurate treatment plans, and offer patients a clearer path to improved respiratory health.

Your Generosity Makes This Possible

Every one of these projects represents an investment in local healthcare—an investment made possible by donors who believe in the importance of accessible, high-quality care on Whidbey Island. Thank you for helping us continue to support the patients, departments, and healthcare professionals who depend on WhidbeyHealth.
